Literary Almanac DIALOGUE. Anniversary Edition. Russia-Israel, 2026/5786.
Since its first edition, the literary almanac DIALOGUE has offered its readers a bright panoply of works of Jewish culture, free from the constraints of time, geography, theme, or genre. In its pages, authors engage in a dialogue with each other and the reader, contemplating the fate of the Jewish people, its past, present, and future, as well as Jewish literature and art and their unbreakable bond with world culture. These authors hail from Russia, Israel (their works often having been translated from Hebrew for the first time), the United States, Germany, France, Sweden, Austria, Australia, the Netherlands, Poland, Belarus, and other countries.
Each volume features recurring rubrics and new thematic sections which broaden the scope of the almanac and open new directions for it. Each volume of DIALOGUE opens with a dialogue between the acclaimed Russian writer Lev Anninsky and well-known Hebrew writers from Israel.
Section and rubric titles serve as milestones, guiding the reader along the journey through the almanac. After all, since its third issue, each issue has come out in two volumes. These rubrics are titled Prose, Poetry, Literary Sketches, Essays, Archives/Memoirs, Dialogues Across Continents, Literary Chronicles of the 20th Century, Their 21st Century (featuring up-and-coming Russian and Israeli writers), Zionism in History, World Literature about the Holocaust, A Poet’s Fate as a Reflection of Our Age, Jewish Literature of the Russian Diaspora, Ancient Writers of the Middle East, The National Question in Russian Literature, Does Jewish Art Exist?, Kadish for the Shtetl, The Almanac’s Gallery, and Theater.

The archive contains digital versions of each issue. The website also features rubrics such as The International Club of the Modern Short Story, Living Room, Gallery, etc.
This anniversary issue of the almanac comes in two volumes. The first Volume is called DIALOGUE-COLLAGE; the second is called DIALOGUE-MEMORIAL.
In the first volume, we departed from a strictly academic organization into sections and rubrics. Rather, the volume features spontaneous or contrived, inter-referential works, akin to a collage or pastiche of materials.
The second volume pays homage to those who lent us their talent, faith, and friendship. It features the prose, poetry, essays, diary entries, and letters of authors, translators, and artists, as well as notes dedicated to their memory.
The anniversary edition of DIALOGUE features the works of almost 70 authors from different countries, working in different genres, but all engaging in and continuing the dialogue we started 30 years ago.
